Fire crews deal with house blaze and car fire

TWO fire engines went to a house fire in Steel Street, Warrington, last night.
The crews from Warrington and Birchwood found the fire was on the first floor but that there was no one in.
They extinguished the fire and ventilated the property and also checked neighbouring houses to ensure the blaze had not spread
The blaze was shortly before 11pm.
Earlier, fire engines from Warrington and Penketh went to a car fire in Tan House Lane, Warrington.
The vehicle was well alight and crews extinguished it with a hose reel jet before checking the vehicle over with a thermal imaging camera.
