MEMBERS of the Hindu community paid a visit to Warrington Foodbank recently to donate a large selection of food that they had collected.

Summit Tuli from Chapleford commented; “Sewa is the act of selfless service or act which should be undertaken each day. We feel it’s important to give to back to our community and Warrington Foodbank is doing a great job in these difficult times. Our gift is a small token of appreciation for their hard work.”

Wendy Maisey OBE, Local business woman, philanthropist and volunteer at Helping Hands Community Group added; “It is humbling seeing our community pulling together during the Covid-19 crisis. I’ve been at the coal face since March with Helping Hands distributing food and essential hampers to those shielding and those who find themselves in difficult circumstances. Without people like Mr Tuli it would be near impossible to achieve what we do throughout Warrington.”

People can donate to Warrington Foodbank through a number of outlets in Warrington https://warrington.foodbank.org.uk/locations/
