Firefighters tackle incident involving smoke coming from horsebox wheel on petrol forecourt

FIREFIGHTERS were called out earlier today to tackle an incident involving smoke coming from the wheel of a horse box on the forecourt of a petrol station at Lymm.

The incident took place Shortly before 12.30pm when firefighters were informed of smoke coming from a horsebox wheel at the Poplar 2000 Services in Cliff Lane, Lymm, Warrington.
On arrival at the services off the M6 southbound near Junction 20, the crew discovered that the smoke stemmed from a brake caliper.
The horsebox was on a petrol station forecourt.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to cool down the breaks and make them safe. They monitored temperatures with a hose reel jet.
Firefighters were in attendance for less than half-an-hour.
