ONE more person has sadly died at Warrington Hospital and nine more people in the town have tested positive for COVID-19 as the UK has seen its lowest daily death toll since the end of March.

The number of deaths at Warrington Hospital now totals 90 and with at least 37 people dying in local care homes the town’s COVID-19 related death toll now numbers at least 127.
The hospital had discharged 186 patients as of noon Friday.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 288 – the lowest increase since the end of March, taking the total number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths to 28,734.
Eleven more people tested positive for COVID-19 at Warrington Hospital taking the total number of confirmed cases in the town to 646.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 3,985 and the total number of lab-confirmed UK cases is now 190,584.
But Health Secretary Matt Hancock stressed the figures tend to be lower over the weekend and he expected the numbers to rise.
Numbers collated at weekends can be lower than later in the week, as fewer administration staff may have been working.
Meanwhile Mr Hancock has urged members of the public to download the new tracking app which is being trailled on the Isle of Wight.
It comes as Boris Johnson is expected to outline on Sunday how the UK will exit lockdown.
The Government aims to have a “test, track and trace” system in by Mid-May.
