Business as usual for Warrington Police during “Lockdown” late hours

IT has been business as usual for Warrington Police during the late hours of “Lockdown” this week with a variety of incidents including extensive criminal damage at a care home.

Three youths were aarrested for the incident whereby extensive criminal damage was caused at a care home.
Other incidents included one driver arrested for drink driving and another driver arrested for drug driving. Two vehicles were also seized for being driven with no insurance.
A number of persons have been stopped and searched this week and been found in possession of Class A and Class B Drugs.
One male was arrested for breaching his restraining order, another male was caught breaching his prison license conditions and one male was arrested for assault and animal cruelty.
A number of persons have also been arrested in relation to domestic incidents and one male was arrested for a public order offence.
Some Officers have also been out in plain clothes in an effort to deter crime across the town.
A number of fines have also been issued for breaching the new laws around Covid-19.

A police spokesperson said: “As you can see, business as usual for us. A big thanks to the majority of the town who’ve managed to not make this list, I hope you all enjoy the weekend, stay home and stay safe.”
