THE number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Warrington has jumped to 122, with 25 new cases in the last 24 hours, as people continue to ignore social distancing rules.
Health secrteray Matt Hancock has warned that the Government will ban exercise outside the home if people continue to ignore coronavirus social distancing rules.
His warning comes after reports of groups of people gathering in parks during sunny weather over the weekend. At Penketh and Cuerdley local police reported seeing lots of cyclists, joggers and dog walkers in the same locations ignoring the social distancing rules and appealed to people to follow Government advice to avoid a total lockdown. People are also reminded to limit activities to one, one hour session a day
Meanwhile, the Department of Health has reported a further 621 deaths linked to coronavirus in the UK bringing the total in the UK to 4,934. Across the country a total of 47,806 people have now tested positive for coronavirus. In Warrington there have been seven confirmed deaths of people testing posotive for Coronavirus, involving six men and one woman, aged between 48-91. The majority had underlying health issues.
