Hospital confirms three more deaths as number of Coronavirus cases reach 82

WARRINGTON Hospital has sadly confirmed three more deaths of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 including the town’s youngest victim, a 48-year-old man.

It is not known if he had any underlying health issues. He passed away yesterday (April 2).

The hospital has also confirmed the death of a 91-year old female patient who passed away at the hospital on March 30. She had tested positive for COVID-19 and had an underlying health condition.

The third patient to die was a 72-year old man who passed away on April 1st. The patient had tested positive for COVID-19 and had an underlying health condition.

A hospital spokesman said “Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”

The number of confirmed cases in Warrington is now 82, rising from 65 yesterday with a total of seven deaths. Meanwhile the total number of cases across the UK has now reached 38,168 cases with 3,605 deaths

There were new 4,450 cases and 684 deaths confirmed by Public Health England today.

With warm weather forecast residents urged to stay at home and save lives
