Buses continue to operate for key workers and vulnerable people

0

BUS operators in Warrington are running with reduced services, but are committed to maintaining essential journeys for key workers, vulnerable people and those who have an essential need to travel.

Services are being maintained for those who are defined as key workers and those who have an essential need to travel. The government guidance, however, is absolutely clear – that you should only travel if absolutely essential and that if possible you should remain at home.

Pre-9.30am travel restrictions for Cheshire concessionary pass holders have also been lifted to allow those who have an essential need to travel can do so. This is in line with the decision from some supermarkets to allow protected shopping hours to elderly or vulnerable people.

Further service revisions may be required in line with government advice on social distancing. If you need to travel, please follow the national guidance and try and stay as close to two metres away from other people as possible. If you have hand sanitiser please take it with you on your journey.

Passengers are also asked to use cash alternatives to travel wherever possible. This could mean paying via Touch and Go app or contactless card (available on several services).
