Not Just for Vegans!

The Heritage Café at Walton is further embracing veganism by introducing new and delicious products to their menu.

The original offering, which has become a favourite toasted sandwich for vegans and non-vegans alike is the Black Bun. Filled with Avocado, infused with crushed rock salt and fresh lemon juice, Violife vegan cheese, fresh tomato and rocket is really tasty.

Vegans and their non-vegan friends can now find on the sweets menu a sumptuous, individually presented moist carrot cake using fresh carrots, wheat and almond flours. It is made in Naples and imported from Italy weekly.

A vegan lunch that can be enjoyed by all, including a soya latte, black bun and carrot cake for under £9 provides excellent quality at a reasonable price.

The Heritage Café wants to continue to extend its provision and the team explained: “We are also exploring the potential of introducing a vegan savoury pie and we have samples from a couple of local suppliers that really interest us.”

Stef Manfredi, proprietor of the Heritage Café at Walton added: “All we need now is a vegan breakfast sandwich.

We have some ideas but are always open to suggestions from our customers.”

Whatever the Heritage Café team come up with next; it is sure to use excellent ingredients and will certainly pass the taste test. This food should not just be enjoyed by vegans!
