THE annual Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival will take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 8 and will include the annual Santa Dash by Lymm Runners.

Started in 1985, the festival continues to be a great success for the local community attracting new stalls and entertainment each year.

The Village centre will be closed to traffic from 8am to allow the various stalls to set up, and the day will commence at 11am.

In addition to the stalls there will be entertainment throughout the day provided by the local schools, choirs, dramatic groups, and street entertainers.

The Grand procession will leave Statham Avenue by the Lymm Hotel at 1.30pm.

Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival will finish with the flotilla along the Bridgewater Canal (Weather permitting) around 4.45pm.

Please come along and support the many local charities, schools, and businesses that help to make Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival a day for all the family.

Meanwhile The Lymm Runners Santa Dash, which starts at 1pm has now become an established fixture on the Lymm Dickensian Day celebration. Now in its 5th year, the Fun Run creates a buzz at the start of the procession.

The route goes through the village to the applause from the crowds who line the pavements each year to support this long-established event.
Entry is open to Fun Runners aged 10+ capable of completing the 5km course.

The start is outside Brookfield Surgery on the canal bridge and we will lead off the Main Procession. Down Eagle Brow and through the heart of the village.
