Colin and Wendy Parry help turn victims of terrorism into survivors

VIDEO: Twenty-five years ago this Sunday (March 25) Colin and Wendy Parry said their final farewells to their 12-year-old son Tim Parry who had been fatally injured by the IRA bomb attack on Warrington.

While three-year-old Johnathan Ball died at the scene when two bombs were planted in bins on Bridge Street, Tim died five days later when his life support machine was switched off with his family by his side.

Since then Colin and Wendy have campaigned to keep the legacy of both boys alive and have dedicated their lives to helping victims of terrorism.

As survivors of tragedy they now help “turn victims into survivors.”

Check out the video above to see Colin and Wendy reflect on that tragic day 25-years ago when they discovered their own son had become a victim of a terrorist attack on Warrington.

Meanwhile coverage of this week’s 25th anniversary memorial service can be viewed below, along with a “through the keyhole” tour of the Warrington Peace Centre.
