Home extension wins council approval

PLANS for a two-storey rear extension at a house in Foxley Close, Lymm have been given the go-ahead by Warrington planning chiefs.
The development had been opposed by Lymm Parish Council and by one neighbour on the grounds the proposed extension would be overbearing and would result in a loss of sunlight resulting from a “significant and prominent structure” between properties.
Councillors were told the proposal was to demolish an existing conservatory and replace it with a two storey extension to provide an enlarged kitchen and dining room with a bedroom and en suite above it.
Planning officers said the development would respect the scale of the adjoining property and that a coherent relationship would remain between the two properties.
The committee approved the scheme.
