Travellers ignore notice to quit Orford Park

1

TRAVELLERS have ignored a council notice to vacate a car park at Orford Jubilee Park, as another group have encamped on land at Westbrook.

Half a dozen vehicles are currently encamped on the over flow car park at Orford Park after arriving last Friday.

They have ignored a council notice to quit the site and are now facing court proceedings.

Meanwhile another encampment has set up on private land  at Delta Crescent, Westbrook.

A total of six caravans arrived at the site last night and the council is currently providing advice to the land owner.

  1. The ones in the picture are the same ones who ignored the notice to leave when they were on Victoria Park a few weeks back. I recognose the transit with the blue signage and the caravans. Surely if they keep parking up and moving around Warrington ignoring the notices to leave etc the police and council ‘should’ be given authority to now just move them on and out of the area immediately. No need for welfare check boxes to be ticked either before action is taken as they’ve already been done. Seems they are just playing cat and mouse games with soft Warrington now…otherwise translated as ‘taking the p***’.
