Five arrested following disturbance at Market Gate

FIVE men have been arrested following a disturbance at Market Gate in Warrington town centre early this morning.

The five men are currently in custody being questioned by police.

No further details are available at this time.

In another incident male was arrested in the town centre for public order. He was removed from a shop where he was barred due to previous incidents of causing problems.

Instead of taking the opportunity to leave the area  he became abusive to staff and officers in the street and is now on his way to custody.
