Two-and-a-half hour battle with house fire

FIRE crews spent two and a half hours dealing with a house fire at Helsby.
The blaze in a property on Station Avenue was found to involve the electrical supply and meter box and firefighters used a hose reel jet, dry powder extinguisher, thermal imaging camera and electrical gloves to tackle it.
No one was hurt and two fire engines from Ellesmere Port were involved in the operation.
