Another councillor elected without a contest

ANOTHER new member has joined Frodsham Town Council without an election taking place.
Mark Nield, a member of the Friends of John Williamson, the group which campaigned against the sale of the Park Lane play area, became a councillor following an uncontested election.
He was the only person nominated for the vacant seat in Castle Park Ward following the resignation of former chairman and deputy Mayor Mike Pusey.
There remains one unfilled vacancy on the council, in Lakes ward, following the resignation of former councillor Clare Collins-Doyle.
