Record breaking Oktoberfest beer festival for Rotary

WARRINGTON Rotary club held another record-breaking Oktoberfest raising an estimated £16,000 for charities and good causes.

Attendances and income were up on last year and there was a record number of sponsors as well.

This years years charity beneficiaries will be: Warrington Open Door at Christmas (WODAC) for the homeless; Guide dogs  – Warrington Branch; CODY’s – Warrington youth arts organisation;
Women’s Aid Warrington and Cheshire Search & Rescue(CSAR).

Two International Charities: Lend With Care (small loans to poor entrepreneurs in emerging nations) and Village water in Zambia will also benefit.

The monies will be presented to the charity representatives at the forthcoming Warrington Rotary Club annual Charter Night (birthday celebration) dinner at the Firgrove Hotel, Grappenhall on Friday November 20.
