A car burst into flames on Manchester Road at Padgate outside the gates to Warrington Cemetery.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The vehicle was well alight on arrival of the crew who were at the scene for fifteen minutes.
