Dumped mattresses on fire in park

FIRE crews were called out to deal with a fire involving four mattresses dumped in a Warrington park.
The blaze was in a park of Thelwall Lane, Latchford and firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish it.
In a separate incident, also at Latchford, two fire engines were called to Grange Avenue to reports of a house fire.
The blaze was out by the time they reached the scene – and damage was restricted to a tea towel which had caught fire.
