Musical car rally in aid of Prostate cancer

FUNDRAISERS from Warrington are heading across Europe in a musical themed car rally to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
David Gardner and Paul Hogkinson are taking part in a musicals themed car rally to Lake Como in Italy, organised by Keyline, the specialist supplier of heavy building materials, civils and drainage solutions.
Twenty-four cars made up of teams from Keyline’s staff, along with its suppliers and customers, have chosen themes which include Chicago, We Will Rock You and Bugsy Malone. David and Paul will be hitting the right note as they get into gear dressed as characters from Paint your Wagon.
The rally started on Wednesday (June 24) from Northfleet and finishes on Monday (June 29).
After crossing the English Channel at Dover, the cars will head through France before trekking all the way towards the beautiful Lake Como. Ex-international footballer and supporter of Prostate Cancer UK, Luther Blissett, will also be joining the fundraisers for the special event.
Each year 42,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer, and over 10,500 men are dying from the disease.  This is why Keyline are joining the already strong 230,000 army of people engaged with Men United, the charities movement for everyone who believes men are worth fighting for. The money raised from the Keyline rally will help fund vital research into tests, treatments and the causes of prostate cancer.
Kieran Griffin, Managing Director of Keyline, said: “Keyline has organised an annual car rally to different destinations across Europe since 2010 and this promises to be the best yet. During the last five years we have raised an incredible £1 Million for Prostate Cancer UK. Everybody knows someone, whether a family member of friend, who has been affected by cancer, so we look forward to adding to that total as we head to Lake Como.”
Mark Bishop, Director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “Keyline’s continual commitment and support to the charity has seen them raise a phenomenal amount of money over the last few years, through fundraising events such as the Rally. This year, the Keyline Rally is set to be another fun filled event and we are looking forward to be apart of it.
“By doing this, the customers and staff at Keyline are joining Men United and helping to make a real difference in furthering the fight against prostate cancer.”
