A BIZARRE new Guinness World Record has been set at Arley Hall – High Jumping by a Llama.

Caspa the Llama, who lives at the Canine Centre in North Wales, achieved the record by jumping an impressive 1.13 metres high in front of an adjudicator on hand to officiate the event at DogFest.

Owner Sue Williams said: “We are so proud of Caspa and are delighted that he has set a new Guinness World Record at DogFest.

“We’ve had such fun at Arley Hall today; Caspa is a real show off, so it has been the perfect place for him to achieve this record and perform in front of such a big crowd.”

Caspa and his team, Black Rock Llamas, are the first and only llama agility display team in the UK, having been inspired watching dogs doing the same.

The team performed at the DogFest event at Arley Hall, and their next stop is the next DogFest event at Loseley Park in Surrey on Sunday June 21.

DogFest sponsored by Natural Instinct celebrates everything that is special and life changing about owning a dog.

Hosted by Channel 4’s Supervet, Noel Fitzpatrick, DogFest is an outdoor festival where dogs are welcomed with open arms and includes The Great Dog Walk, Eukanuba SuperVet Live Tour and have-a-go sessions for dogs including dog diving!
