Virtually viewing a new housing estate

PROSPECTIVE tenants of a new housing development at Warrington will be able to see themselves in a new home  – before it is even built.
Interactive hoardings around the site on Church Street allow house hunters to see themselves in “virtual”  houses by downloading an app to their smartphone direct from the hoardings.
Using the state-of-the-art software, they can share a photograph of themselves sitting in the living room – again before the show house is even open.
More than 100 houses are being built on the site, offering a new style of renting, designed to make life easier for tenants.
Warrington-based private landlord Hive is introducing a clever customer portal which means everything a tenant needs will be right at their fingertips.  Not only can they report maintenance issues, check rent statements and make payments 24/7, but using bespoke technology, credit checks, references and renewal of tenancies will also be done on-line, as well as bookings to view properties.
Company managing director Stephen Haigh said: “We’re bringing hassle free renting to Warrington, where everything a customer needs is just a click of the mouse away.  Our goal is to become the private sector landlord of choice in the North West.”
Residents will have access to a 24 hour response team, seven days a week for emergency repairs. There will also be a dedicated handyman service for the development.
They will also be able to say goodbye to boring chores by arranging gardening, cleaning and ironing services direct with the landlord.
There will be 48 two and three-bedroom houses along with 58 two bedroom apartments, just a 10 minute walk from Warrington town centre.
Each property will have spacious, generously proportioned accommodation, fitted kitchen with integrated hob and cooker and energy efficient appliances including fridge freezer and washer dryer as well as wi-fi.  The homes all come with blinds and carpets, double glazing throughout and the possibility of flexible furniture packages.
Work has already started on site and the first properties will be available to move into in September.
