Fire crews tackle kitchen blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearing  breathing apparatus tackled a kitchen fire at a house in Westbrook, Warrington.
The blaze, in Tenby Close, involved a grill pan and was extinguished by two firefighters using a hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property. No-one was reported injured. Two fire engines from Warrington were involved in the operation.
In another incident, fire crews were called to Hume Street, Warrington to deal with a blaze involving fencing and a quantity of rubbish. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.
