Smoke alarm alerts occupants to kitchen fire

ONE person was taken to hospital suffering the affects of smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire at a house on Old Liverpool Road, Warrington.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire at the premises early on Sunday morning.
An ambulance was requested by fire crews for one occupant suffering the affects of smoke inhalation.
A smoke alarm alerted the occupants to the fire.
Meanwhile firefighters used a main water jet to put out a skip fire on Green Lane, Warrington, yesterday (Sunday).
It is believed the fire was started deliberately. If anyone has information that could help find those responsible they should call Crimstoppers on 0800 555 111.
