WARRINGTON Town are expecting their biggest crowd of the season for tomorrow night’s table topping clash with Curzon Ashton at the HG Driver Recruitment Stadium, kick off 7.45pm.
With Town five points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik Division One North after an incredible run of 16 league games unbeaten, including 14 wins, two draws and 10 clean sheets, Curzon, who have three games in hand, are still unbeaten.
Warrington’s fantastic form attracted national coverage over the weekend with manager Shaun Reid and Managing Director Toby Macormac featuring on the BBC’s non league show on Radio 5 Live, with Reid (pictured right) also making an appearance on the 5 Live 606 phone in with soccer pundit Robbie Savage.
With crowds already up on last season, the club is expecting one of it’s biggest gates in recent years, since the 1,500 sell out with Chester FC three years ago.
Victory for Warrington would see them become clear title favourites in what Reid says is a “must win game.”
He expects a tough battle between the two form teams in the league and appealed to sports fans in the town to get behind Warrington’s promotion push.
“Our fans have been fantastic to be fair and their support is greatly appreciated by the team. I would appeal to all sports fans in the town to turn out in force and get behind what this club is attempting to achieve.”
Warrington will be at full strength with no injuries following Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Mossley, with skipper David Mannix, who was outstanding in the impressive 3-0 away win at Farsley the previous week, returning from a one match suspension.
Admission to the game is £8 for adults and £5 for concessions and £2 for 12-18-year-olds – Under 12s and students at Warrington Collegiate and Priestley College and Network Warrington bus pass holders are FREE.
