Last chance to switch to cheap energy

WARRINGTON residents who want to save money on their energy bills by signing up to Collective Switching must do so by Monday, November 18.
Council officers are out and about in the town centre promoting the scheme this week and want to persuade as many people as possible to sign up.
“Collective Switching” is a way for communities to club together to use their combined buying power to negotiate cheaper prices with energy companies.
Cllr Russ Bowden, the council’s lead member for corporate resources and assignments, said: “We’ve already had many people sign up to the scheme and we’re hoping for many more by Monday. This really is your last chance to sign up and the more people that sign up, the bigger the potential saving – so make sure you don’t miss out.”
Residents can sign up online by visiting www.warrington.gov.uk/thebigswitch.
Anyone who doesn’t have an email address can ask a friend, relative or neighbour to sign up on their behalf. Up to five households can register using one email address. Alternatively residents can sign up by telephoning 01925 442919.
