A SECOND half equaliser from substitute Jon Newby (pictured top) secured Warrington

Town a 1-1 draw at Ossett Town to earn an FA Cup 2nd qualifying round

replay at the HG Driver Recruitment Stadium this coming Tuesday kick off

7.45pm.
Warrington trailed to a first half Steven Jeff penalty after the linesman flagged for a foul inside the box after the referee had signalled to play on.
Young keeper Josh Cook had no chance as Jeff blasted the ball home on 38 minutes. Cook pulled off a fine diving save just before the break to keep the score to 1-0.
After a lacklustre first half Warrington stepped up a gear as manager Shaun Reid introduced Chris Gahgan for Liam Dawson and Jon Newby for Ciaran Kilheeney.
The substitutions paid dividends as Newby vollyed the ball home after good work from Ben Wharton who out jumped the keeper to head the ball back on 78 minutes.
With the clock ticking down the game opened up with both teams looking for a winner, Warrington’s best chance being a David Mannix free kick which almost got through the keeper’s legs.
For the second consecutive round both teams now face FA Cup replays with Warrington hoping home advantage on the back of a 10 game unbeaten run, will see them through to the third qualifying round.
The game will take place on Tuesday evening, instead of the scheduled league meeting with Curzon Ashton who are also involved in an FA cup replay at Lancaster.
* Warrington will be without leading scorer Ben Wharton for between 4-6 weeks after he suffered a fractured arm during the game.
