Motorway crash brings traffic chaos

RUSH hour traffic piled up in various parts of Warrington this morning – apparently following an accident on the M6.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the motorway, between junctions 20 and 21 when a collision occurred involving a saloon car and an articulated lorry.
A man was trapped in the car and was released by firefighters.
Fire engines from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Birchwood were involved in the operation.
The motorist was taken to hospital, but details of his injuries have not been released.
