VOLUNTEERS are needed to help with a street collection for a charity Beating Bowel Cancer event being held in Warrington on September 29.
The charity works to save lives from the UK’s second biggest cancer killer. All the money raised by the bucket collection will be used to raise awareness of the disease and support patients and their families.
Regional fundraiser Rachel Thomas said: “In Warrington every year around 100 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer and 45 die from the disease so it is an important issue for the local community.
“We are looking for people to give up just a few hours of their Saturday to help Beating Bowel Cancer make a real difference to bowel cancer patients and their families.”
The charity needs help from 10am until 4pm, and will provide volunteers with charity t-shirts and collection buckets. Anyone interested should call Rachel on 07825 910943 or email [email protected]
