ABOUT 100 people are expected to take part in the “Worldwide Blood Drive” at Warrington on Wednesday, July 25.
The initiative is organised by the International WeLoveU Foundation, a global welfare organisation and will take place at the Fir Grove Hotel, Grappenhall.
Its aim is to help people in need of emergency blood transfusion.
The campaign is taking place worldwide throughout July.
Zahng Gil-Jah, chairwoman of the International WeLoveU Foundation, said: “Every volunteer activity has a great meaning, but blood donation is much more joyful and worthwhile because we can help save lives directly.”
Along with the blood donation campaign, the International WeLoveU Foundation carries out various welfare activities in many different fields: New Life Family Walkathon, New Life Concert, Child/Youth/Senior Citizen Welfare, Help for Farming Villages, Disaster Relief, Donation of Water Pumps to Water Shortage Countries, etc.
Last April, they held the “2012 Global Clean WORLD Movement to Cope With Climate Change” and cleaned up hills, rivers, seashores, streets in many different nations.
Some 125,000 members in the USA, UK, France, Chile, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, India, Philippines, Nepal, Japan, Cambodia, Mongolia and Ghana participated in the movement.
