IT’S NHS Census Day in Warrington tomorrow (Tuesday) – and health chiefs will be asking its patients across the borough what they think about the care their receive.
Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust will be asking patients’ opinions in health centres, clinics or in their own homes.
The initiative aims to help the Trust understand what patients think about the services it provides.
It will also be used as an opportunity to recruit members to the organisation which is one of 17 would-be community foundation trusts in the country.
The Trust provides a wide range of services across Warrington including; podiatry, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, community dermatology, district nursing and health visiting, plus many more.
At the start of the year it launched its ambitious bid to become a community foundation trust and throughout the summer will be recruiting members to support it in its work.
More details about the Trust and its bid can be found at www.bridgewater.nhs.uk
Caroline Williams, interim divisional director, said: “We sincerely hope all patients who see our clinicians will take the opportunity to have their say.
“It is important to us to know that what we are doing is appropriate and appreciated by those we serve. If there are issues we need to know about them, where there are areas of outstanding practice we need to replicate that.
“We are also very keen to recruit members to join our organisation and support us in our work in the future and would be delighted if people sign up to become members on the day.”
