New choir makes its debut

A NEW choir will make its debut at this year’s Lymm Festival – after only three rehearsals.
The Lymm Big Sing choir will do a spot at the “Natural Woman” concert on July 2 in the Marquee at Lymm Rugby Club, along with the Helen Monks Band and vocal group Five Shades of Blue.
Idea for the choir came from local musician Alan Williams and ex-Amicus choir leader Susan Healey when they met on a gig earlier this year.
An appeal for singers drew nearly 50 responses from experienced singers and would-be singers.
Alan said: “The idea is to train the choir at just three rehearsals.”
