Couple robbed at cash machine

A COUPLE have been robbed at Warrington while withdrawing money from a cash machine.
Two men, one brandishing an iron bar, threatened them and demanded they hand over the cash.
They then ran off leaving the couple, a man aged 35 and a 39-year-old woman, shaken but unhurt.
Police today issued an appeal for help from anyone who had seen the incident at 5pm on Friday (November 18) in Mallard Lane, Oakwood.
After the robbery, the offenders ran off in the direction of Winchat Drive.
One of the offenders was about 6ft tall and of slight build. He was wearing black trousers and a black t-shirt. His face was concealed.
The second man smaller in height and also of slight build. His face was also concealed.
Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who knows the identity of the offenders is urged to call Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000. Information can also be passed on anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
