A WARRINGTON-based volunteer emergency team is planning a 178-mile cycle around Cheshire to let people know about their work.
Cheshire Search and Rescue Team Awareness Ride will be held from August 19 to 21.
They start from Northwich Fire Station on Friday morning and follow Cycle Route 70 through Alderley Edge, Macclesfield and Congleton to end day one in Nantwich.
On the following two days they will visit places such as Beeston, Chester, Neston and Delamere Forest.
The team was set up in 2004 and includes highly skilled and professional volunteers. They respond to calls from the emergency services to assist in the search for missing persons and also offer major incident support.
Member Martin Higham said: “If you see the cyclists, or support vehicle, around Cheshire on August 19-21, please give them a toot and a wave, or stop for a chat.”
