Police appeal after death crash

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for witnesses of a road crash in which a 22-year-old man died.
The incident was in Cherry Lane, Lymm, last night (Wednesday) when a silver Vauxhall Corsa left the road and collided with a tree.
The driver died of injuries sustained in the crash and an 18-year-old girl passenger was taken to hospital with multiple fractures to her pelvis. She is said to be in a stable condition today.
Cherry Lane was closed to traffic for some time after the incident and did not re-open until after 11.30pm.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, at about 7.30pm is asked to call police on 0845 458 0000.
