Stronger Together funding available

MEMBERS of the public are invited to attend a meeting of the Warrington South ‘Stronger Together’ meeting on Wednesday January 27 at Westy Community Centre when details of funding opportunities will be available.
The event will have a market place theme where service providers from Warrington Borough Council will provide information on what is available from them.
Meanwhile the deadline for the latest round of Stronger Together funding is February 12. Applications are for funding from £50 to £5,000 for projects led by or in partnership with community groups.
Successful applications can include organising and holding events, festivals and workshops designed to involve the community in collective action and regeneration activities.
They could also be for activity that promotes positive community activity, volunteering, cohesion and diversity or activities that aim to reduce crime, the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour
Initiatives that aim to improve health, wellbeing and the local environment could also be eligible.
