Warning after attacks on woman and girls

POLICE at Warrington have issued a warning after three separate attacks on a woman and two young girls.
They are not sure if the three attacks are linked but are warning women and girls to avoid dark, isolated places.
And they have appealed to any other women who may have been attacked but not reported the incident to come forward.
The first attack was on Tuesday, December 10 at 5.10pm when a 26-year-old woman was attacked and verbally abused by a man who approached her from behind in Leacroft Road, Birchwood.
Two days later, a girl of seven was attacked in Capesthorne Road, Orford at 5pm by a man about 5ft 7 inches tall.
The most recent attack was on Wednesday, December 16 at 5.5opm when a 14 year-old girl was attacked by a man in Fisher Avenue, Orford, who attempted to pull her across the road. She described the attacker as a youth of about 17, wearing a black tracksuit with a hood.
In each case, the victim struggled, managed to break free and ran off.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are not sure if these attacks are linked but we are advising people to be cautious and avoid lonely, dark areas at night.
