Students' spooky fundraiser

STUDENTS got spooky when a Halloween fundraising event was held at Priestley College, Warrington.
Fancy dress costumes were rustled up and the Student Council transformed the college’s mezzanine social area into a scary playground.
Traditional Halloween games were played including an apple bobbing competition, trick or treat tombola and a sticky sweet challenge.
Students were raising funds for future college events such as the Valedictory meal and a proposed Mozambique expedition – where students hope to help build housing for children orphaned by Aids.
Marketing officer Nat Ashurst said: “It was great to see the college come to life for a charity event, for the first time this year.
“Everybody really did get into the spirit of all things Halloween whilst raising money for worthwhile causes.”
