Health trust seeks public's views

THE 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust, which provides mental health services for people in Warrington, is asking for views from the public on its work.
Service users, carers, the public and staff are being consulted about its plans to become a

foundation trust.
During the 12-week public consultation people will be asked about its application for foundation status and proposals to have a Council of Members, which will represent the community, staff and partner organisations.
Chief executive Simon Barber said: “We are delighted to be in a position to apply for foundation trust status and we are very keen to hear the views of local people. People can become members of the trust, become member councillors and vote in Council of Members elections. They will also be able to receive information from the trust.
“This means that local communities will be able to have a real say in the running and development of services.”
The trust, which provides services for people in Warrington, Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Wigan, will hear whether its its bid for foundation trust status has been successful later this year.
More information about the consultation can be found at www.5boroughspartnership.nhs.uk. Feedback can be sent to [email protected] and consultation events will be held locally. Closing date for comments is April 19.
