WARRINGTON Wolves packman David Solomona has agreed a one-year extension to his contract keeping him at the club until the end of 2011.
Solomona joined the club from Bradford at the start of this season and has made a massive impact on the pitch during the first part of this year. He’s already crossed the whitewash for six tries this season featuring in all but one game to date.
Wolves boss Tony Smith is delighted that David is staying at the club saying. “He’s had a strong year so far and is getting fitter all the time having played in just about every game so far. His form has been very good and he is such an exciting player to watch adding a lot to us. Once again this shows how the club is able to retain quality players and retention is a big part of our policy at the moment.”
David added: “I’m really happy to have agreed an extension as I am enjoying being part of the club. Warrington Wolves is a team that is going places and I’m still looking to win something.”
The Wolves come up against one of David’s former clubs the Bradford Bulls in the Carnegie Challenge Cup Quarter Final this weekend.
He said: “We are expecting a tough game on Sunday. A lot of emphasis is put on the Challenge Cup and we will need to be prepared for a big game especially with the likes of Matt Orford and Paul Sykes in their squad.”
