Soap star backs Baby Bobby appeal

HOLLYOAK’S stunner Emma Rigby is the latest in a long line of people to be touched by Baby Bobby – the Warrington baby tragically born blind in both eyes.
In a moving story that has captured the hearts of supporters across the North of England Baby Bobby’s parents Wes and Cath Brown from Orford, have been on a race against time to raise the £50,000 needed to fly Bobby out to America before he turns 10 weeks old, for a pioneering corneal transplant operation that could potentially restore his sight.
On Thursday April 23, for one night only, the Hollyoaks hottie and lads’ mag favourite who plays troubled teen, Hannah Ashworth, will be ditching the TV studio and hitting the bright lights of the catwalk in Warrington instead!
Emma has kindly offered her services as a model for a glitzy fashion show organised by stylish ladies boutiques Ibizaar, Pretty Flamingo and Dolly Daydreams to raise money for the Baby Bobby Appeal.
A loyal customer of Ibizaar, Warrington, and former pupil of De La Salle High School, when 19 year-old Emma heard about the event from boutique founder, Joanna Kreisler, she knew immediately it was something she wanted to be involved with.
“How could anybody’s heart strings not be tugged by the Baby Bobby story? I’ve been following the story in the papers and on the radio so as soon as I heard about this fundraiser I jumped at the chance of getting involved, such a worthy cause. I wish Bobby’s family all the best with the treatment, and rest assured we’ll do everything we can to raise as much money as possible on the night.”
With a reputation for her boutiques attracting a growing celebrity clientele, from TV stars, to girlband members and even a sprinkling of footballers’ wives, Joanna Kreisler has rallied around her little black book of contacts to enlist the support of some familiar faces on the night. In what promises to be a star-studded affair, there will even be an appearance from Manchester City Captain, Richard Dunne who will be auctioning off his football shirt to raise money for Baby Bobby.
Richard says “Having just become a father myself, the new addition to my family was born just a month before Baby Bobby so this story really struck a chord with me.
Myself and my wife, Helen are so proud to be able to support this appeal.”
The unique fashion event kicks off at 7.30pm, Thursday April 23 at Cape Bar, Stockton Heath.
Hair styling provided by Toni & Guy, fashion direction by Joanna Kreisler and stylists, Kasia Kenyon and Lauren Percival, and make up provided by Cheshire Make-Up.
There will be an impressive selection of raffle prizes to be won on the night including VIP Box tickets to Liverpool FC, teeth whitening treatments, Reebok sports gear and much much more.
Tickets are available at £7 and can be purchased from Ibizaar, Pretty Flamingo, Dolly Daydreams, Toni & Guy Warrington and Stockton Heath branches.
