Firefighters tackle pick-up truck fire on M6 at Winwick

THREE fire crews were called out to tackle a fire involving a pick-up truck fire on the M6 at Winwick shortly after 7 am this morning.

Crews from Warrington, Lymm and Leigh attended the fire on the slip road of the M6 southbound at junctions 22 to 21A

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire and highways closed the slip road while the incident was being tackled.
