Cooker starts house fire

FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington and Birchwood were called to a house fire at Birchwood last night.
On arrival at the address in Redshank Lane they found the blaze involved a cooker in the kitchen.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire with a hose reel jet. They were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
