HARRY AND CO’s inaugural charity summer ball proved to be a fantastic success.
The Mayor of Warrington, Les Morgan officially opened the first annual Summer Ball organised by the local charitable trust Harry and Co. Held at the Village Hotel the gala evening was attended by over 170 guests and raised £6240 in much needed funding for the fantastic work they do.
Charity Founder Kate Tinker, after whose baby the trust gets its name said “The first Harry & Co summer ball was a resounding success. The awareness and funds that were raised – fantastic.
“We would like to thank The Mayor of Warrington who was in attendance and all the organisations who donated prizes and the guests who attended for their support. The evening was a night of great celebration enjoyed by all.”
Event organiser, Rebecca Searle commented: “ I’m overwhelmed with how the first summer ball went. It was a great success in regards to raising awarenesses of the charity and much needed funds. Everyone I’ve spoken to and feedback received has been so positive and they have expressed their excitement as to when the next Ball will be”
Harry and Co. is a charitable trust organisation who support maternity and neonatal bereavement services. They provide memory making resources which enable families to make a lifetime of memories and help them through one of the most devastating periods of their lives. They provided funding to furnish and equip private accommodation for families and are extremely proud of their Butterfly Suite and Rainbow Room both at Warrington Hospital. Recently the trust invested in the refurbishment of the counselling room. There are ongoing developments, led by Golden Square shopping centre who chose Harry and Co as their charity of the year, with vast amounts of time , effort and money going towards renovations for a second bereavement suite.
