The Park Royal Hotel goes the extra mile to help raise £82,000 for NSPCC

THE Park Royal Hotel at Stretton is celebrating a successful first year in partnership with the NSPCC, helping raise an outstanding £82,000 for the charity as part of the QHotels group, exceeding its initial target of £75,000.

The three-year partnership, which launched in June 2016, aims to bring guests and employees together across the hotel group to raise vital funds for the children’s charity.

The Park Royal employees have embraced fundraising by taking part in a number of challenges throughout the year including The Great Manchester run.

The hotel also hosted a number of fun and creative community events offering up different ways for guests to get involved, from sponsored car washes, bake offs, and much more

QHotels’ 20,000 leisure club members and leisure club employees have also got behind the cause, collectively pedalling 2,699km – the distance from QHotels’ southernmost hotel, the Ashford International in Kent, to the The Westerwood Hotel in Scotland, and back again.

Now entering its second year, The Park Royal is reconfirming its commitment to the cause, with the launch of a new charitable incentive for corporate bookers.

The new package will enable organisations arranging an event at The Park Royal to donate the five per cent cash back they can receive in high street vouchers to the NSPCC.

QHotels customers will also continue to have the option to make a £1 donation to the NSPCC with every online booking.

Caroline Brennan, Senior Partnerships Manager at NSPCC, said: “It has been a real privilege working with the QHotels team in the first year of our partnership. Their commitment to raising money for us has been outstanding and it has been great how they have involved both employees and guests in fundraising drives.

“Excitingly, the second year of the partnership is shaping up to be even better than the first with a number of new events and initiatives being organised across the UK.”

Annie Brown, General Manager at The Park Royal said “It’s been a real privilege to support the NSPCC over the past year and we’ve been blown away by the efforts and commitment that has gone into the impressive fundraising schedule, resulting in us surpassing our ambitious fundraising target by almost £10,000.

“Going into our second year of partnership, we’re determined to keep breaking targets to raise money for this incredibly important cause with a range of creative activities and events for our guests.”
