SKY One’s “Got to Dance” finalists Lee Crowley and Nichollette Whitley will be special guest performers at a unique event in Warrington, organised by a music student.
Taking place on July 29, “For the Passion” has been organised by Kirsten Colley, 33, a student at the University of Chester.
The full day event will include hip hop, salsa, contemporary and tap dance workshops, to name just a few. There will also be dance performances and even the opportunity for people to hone their circus skills.
Unlike other dance events, classes on stage make-up and how to connect with an audience are included. Joe Broughton from the Urban Folk Quartet will be on hand to host a masterclass in stage presence too.
The day concludes with special guests, Lee Crowley, finalist on BBC One’s “So You Think You Can Dance”, and Nichollette Whitley, who will also be teaching. This is followed by an exclusive after party, with DJ, pop-up bar and live music.
Organiser Kirsten said: “’For the Passion’ is for anyone who wants to learn a new skill, or an aspiring performer who wants to take their talent to the next level, or even those wanting more information about becoming self-employed in performance – everyone is welcome! All our instructors are professionals and are well-known in their fields.”
“For the Passion” takes place from 9am on Saturday, July 29 at the Parr Hall, Warrington. It is for anyone aged over 16, with tickets priced at £40 per person, or £35 per person if booking in a group of 10 or more. To book, visit: https://www.pyramidparrhall.com/whats-on/event/for-the-passion/.
