BBC Big Band coming to Warrington

THE acclaimed BBC Big Band is coming to Warrington’s Parr Hall on Sunday March 13.

Joined by multi-award winning jazz vocalist, Claire Martin OBE, this renowned band will perform the classic hits of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee and many others. 

This evening of feel-good music and glamour will see audiences dance the night away to grandiose renditions of That Old Black Magic, Fever, Too Darn Hot, and many more. 

BBC Big Band is widely regarded as one of the best jazz orchestras in the country, having been a regular feature on BBC radio for nearly half-a-decade. In that time they have performed with some of the greatest jazz artists in history, such as Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé, Ray Charles, and Amy Winehouse. 

Joining them on the stage of Parr Hall is the legendary singer Claire Martin OBE, who is considered one of the finest jazz vocalists on the planet. 

Having won awards at the British Jazz Awards seven times, audiences will be guaranteed a night of unforgettable music. 

In 2011, she was rewarded for services to jazz when she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
