ORFORD Park was filled with the twinkles of over 500 lights as little ones from across Warrington took part in the second St. Rocco’s sponsored Lantern Walk.

The event, supported by LiveWire, saw hundreds of children gather at the park, accompanied by parents and friends.

They were joined by special guests Anna and Elsa of Frozen fame and TV favourites Iggle Piggle, Peppa Pig, Ben 10 and Minions.

Walkers were led around the one mile route by Hospice Matron Alison White, and samba band Bateria Barulho De Cima.

This is the second year the event has taken place, raising just over £20,000 in 2014.

Lauren Tilston, Events Fundraising Manager at St. Rocco’s, said: “The Lantern Walk was everything we hoped it would be. It was incredible to see so many children and their parents, united in their support of

St. Rocco’s. Once again our volunteers did an amazing job, and we’d like to thank everyone involved in making the event such a success.”
