THE McArthur Brothers David and Tom from Warrington had mixed fortunes at Oulton Park at The BRSCC Race Day at the weekend.
The brothers were competing in the Avon Tyres Formula Ford 1600 Northern and National Championship – Post 89 race.
David in white car number 16 led the race for several laps of the 20 minute race until he came in contact with another car at the Shell Oils Hairpin Bend and he went off and ended up at the back of the race.
He could only pick 4 places before the race finish.  Mean while brother Tom in white car number 17 was challenging for a podium finish after working his way through the into 4th place.  Finishing only just over 1 sec behind the 3rd placed driver Dougie Crosby from Nantwich.
The brothers were driving their familiar white Van Diemen LA 10 identical cars. David was in a good position going into the race Challenging for The Northern and Champion of Oulton titles.
“Hopefully I will be able to pick up points later in the season and I am really pleased that Tom did so well in the race” said David.
