A GROUP of singers from Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School were invited to perform at a national conference in London.
The group, Botelertonix, sang at the National Conference for the Church Of England Foundation for Educational Leadership in Westminster.
Headteacher Beverley Scott-Herron said: “It was an amazing event and our students were fabulous. They joined two other schools to perform to hundreds of headteachers and senior leaders from all over the country. The students had exposure to some really inspirational speakers and other young people throughout the day.”
After the event, students and accompanying teachers spent the day sightseeing in London. The students even did impromptu performances at Trafalgar Square, Downing Street and Euston Station – much to the delight of passersby.
The students said it was “the best day ever” and all the teachers could not agree more.
Mrs Scott-Herron added: “To be able to perform on a national stage is a not only testimony to their talent and hard work, but to their commitment to our Boteler Family and everything we stand for.”
